Two of the Warsaw Wildcats’ golfers will be heading to the state competition in Springfield.

Clint Schwach and Cody Hugunin shot scores of 85 and 86 respectively to qualify for state in the District Tournament on  Thursday at Greene Hills Country Club. Schwach placed sixth and Hugunin placed seventh individually.

As a team, Warsaw shot a score of 393, placing them fifth overall.

“The wind was a huge factor at the tournament,” said Warsaw coach Scott Gemes. “The kids adjusted well and played to their abilities. I am excited to see Clint and Cody compete at the state level.”

Ash Grove won the Class 2 District 7 Championship with a team score of 318
