S-C baseball players seize honors

Four make all-conference, five all-district

The Sedalia Democrat

Five Smith-Cotton baseball players have received postseason honors.

Third baseman Drew Hutinger is a first-team all-West Central Conference and Class 4, all-District 10, selection. He batted .321 with 15 RBIs.

Adam Archibeque is a first-team all-district and second-team all-conference selection. The shortstop batted .282 with a .402 on-base percentage.

Bryce Johnson was a second-team all-conference and all-district pick.

He received all-conference honors for his pitching. He went 2-2 with a 4.76 ERA.

He was recognized for his offense on the all-district team.

The outfielder hit .283 with a .513 on-base percentage.

First baseman Dylan Mays is a second-team all-conference and all-district pick. He hit .333 with 13 RBIs.

Derik Kinde was a second-team all-district selection. He batted .302 with 13 RBIs and a .571 slugging percentage.
