Tigers cruise to 6-1 soccer win

Sedalia Democrat

The Smith-Cotton girls soccer team ended its regular season on a high note Thursday night in Marshall.

The Tigers defeated the Owls 6-1 as six S-C players scored goals in a complete team effort. The Tigers led 5-0 at halftime.

Smith-Cotton took 25 girls to the game, giving several younger players some valuable experience while resting its veterans.

Heather Williams scored her first career goal as a Lady Tiger and Jessica Greer, Kali Webb, Tiffany Wehmeyer, Kassie Weh-meyer and Kristi Miller each pitched in with a goal apiece.

Smith-Cotton will begin district play Tuesday night at Susie Ditzfeld Field.
