Six boys from The Democrat’s coverage area won all-state medals Saturday at the Classes 1 and 2 state track and field tournaments in Jefferson City.
The top eight finishers in each event won medals.
Tanner Edwards, of Tipton, won his fourth and fifth all-state medals Saturday. The junior placed third in the 200 in 22.67. Fred Taylor, of Maplewood, won in 22.04.
He finished seventh in the 100 in 11.32. Taylor won in 10.81.
Dylan Bradley, Mike Regan, Cullen Rosine and Joel Krause, all of Knob Noster, placed third in the 1600 relay in 3 minutes, 29.37 seconds. A team from Trenton won in 3:25.79.
Krause placed fourth in the 800 in 1:58.75. Lucas Manring, of Stockton, won in 1:55.32.
Joey White, of Concordia, placed sixth in the 400 in 53.23. Delandis Gillespie, of Scott County Central, won in 51.11.
White placed eighth in the 800 in 2:06.64. Alex Mullock, of Worth County, won in 2:00.00.
Corey Stackhouse, of Warsaw, placed 13th in the 800 in 2:04.83.
