Clinton defeated Sacred Heart 218-249 in a season-opening dual match for the Gremlins on Thursday at Meadow Lake Golf Course.
Clinton’s Darci Adams took medalist honors with a 42. Amy Denton of Clinton was runner-up with a 49.
Jaylynne Labus led Sacred Heart, carding a 56. She was followed by Lindsey Burks (62), Alisha Hardin (64) and Haylea Smith (64).
St. Teresa 171 Smith-Cotton 201
St. Teresa defeated Smith-Cotton 171-201 in a dual match Wednesday at Heart of America Golf Academy in Kansas City.
Smith-Cotton’s Amanda Azan shot a 40 and lost by one stroke for medalist honors behind St. Teresa’s Madalyne Bryd. Other scores for Smith-Cotton included Lauren Azan’s 47, Casey Hiurley’s 56, Laura Hancock and Megan Webb with 58 each and Hannah Funk’s 62.

Warsaw 10, Knob Noster 0
Warsaw took advantage of six Knob Noster errors and defeated the Panthers 10-0 in a six-inning mercy rule game Thursday at Knob Noster.
Warsaw closed out the game with a four-run sixth inning.
Carrie Bender led the Knob Noster offense, going 2-for-3 with a triple.
Brandi Sahfeld took the loss, giving up nine hits and the 10 runs, only three of them earned. She struck out three and walked four.
Clinton 10, Knob Noster 9
A five-run seventh inning rally wasn’t enough for Knob Noster as the Panthers fell 10-9 to Clinton in softball on Tuesday.
A seven-run second inning by Clinton proved Knob Noster’s undoing. The Panthers started pecking away, but Clinton added three runs in the sixth to offset the Panthers’ seventh-inning comeback
Brandi Sahfeld went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run batted in for Knob Noster, Kourtney Cherry and Rachel Willming were also 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Charlie Barlow was 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
Sahfeld took the loss, giving up all 10 Clinton runs, but only four were earned. She gave up 10 hits, struck out one and walked four.
