S-C second seed in soccer district

The Smith-Cotton Tigers received the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye for the Class 2, District 10, girls soccer tournament.

Jefferson City collected the top seed and a first-round bye for a tournament that begins Saturday at Susie Ditzfeld Field.

The first round begins Saturday with No. 4 Helias facing No. 5 Camdenton at 11 a.m. and No. 3 Rock Bridge meeting No. 6 Hickman at 1 p.m.

The semifinals will be at 5 and 7 p.m. May 13, and the championship match is set for 6:30 p.m. May 15.
