Player with local ties wins state title

The Sedalia Democrat

The grandson of Paul Faulconer, of La Monte, and Don and Lana Swearngin, of Green Ridge, helped a team win a state championship this winter.

Cole Faulconer, a sophomore at Briarcrest Christian High School in Memphis, Tenn.,  and the boys basketball team won the Tennessee Division II Class AA state championship.

Briarcrest (22-12) beat Christian Brothers 68-49 March 1 in Nashville, Tenn.
