ROUNDUP: Marshall beats S-C 8-1

Matt Roehrs and Chris Shepard teamed up for Smith-Cotton’s only win Monday at Liberty Park. Marshall beat the Tigers' boys tennis team 8-1.

The duo beat Taylor Scarff and Mac Evans 8-4 in No. 1 doubles.

In other doubles matches, Matt Bildstein and Ross Crawford beat Anthony Tsao and Ryan Bell 8-6, and John Van and Ethan Murphy beat Josh Melton and Adam Tilley 8-4.

In singles, Bildstein beat Roehrs 8-1, Scarff beat Shepard 8-6, Evans beat Tsao 8-3, Van beat Bell 8-2, Crawford beat Dustin Bergman 8-0, and Murphy beat Melton 8-6.

Lexington 5, Knob Noster 4

The Knob Noster boys tennis team won two singles and two doubles matches on Monday at Lexington.

In singles, Conor Krause beat Mike Looney 8-2 and Andrew Cates beat Kasey Knox 8-3.

In doubles, Krause and Brian Cass beat Looney and Logan Webb 9-8 (7-4), and Carlo Angeles and Alec Ake beat Devin Rice and Brad Westfall 8-4.

Knox and Jon Ketterman beat Cates and Tim Madison 8-3 in the other doubles match.

In the other singles matches, Webb beat Cass 8-5, Rice beat Madison 8-1, Ketterman beat Angeles 8-6 and Brian Dillon beat Ake 9-8 (7-5).
