The Knob Noster boys tennis team won for the second time in seven matches this season Friday at Knob Noster. The Panthers beat Odessa 5-4.
However, junior Brian Cass and sophomore Conor Krause kept piling up the wins. Both improved to 5-2 in singles play.
Krause beat Seth Martinko 8-1 in No. 1 singles, and Cass beat Brian Turnbough 8-0 in No. 2 singles.
Tim Madison won the Panthers’ other singles match, beating Andrew Godsey 8-4.
In other singles matches, Jarrod Best beat Andrew Cates 8-1, Chris Ford beat Carlo Angeles 8-2, and Alvin Edwards beat Alec Ake 9-8 (7-5).
Krause and Cass teamed up to beat Martinko-Godsey 8-0 in doubles. Angeles-Madison beat Turnbough-Edwards 8-6 for the Panthers’ fifth win.
Best-Ford beat Cates-Ake 8-1 in the other doubles match.
