S-C nearly completes sweep

Smith-Cotton swept the double matches and lost only once in singles Monday in an 8-1 win over Knob Noster in a boys tennis match at Knob Noster.

Chris Shepard and Matt Roehrs beat Conor Krause and Brian Cass 9-7, Anthony Tsao and Ryan Bell beat Ryan Brito and Andrew Cates 8-6, and Josh Melton and Adam Tilley beat Alec Ake and Carlo Angeles 8-0.

Cates won Knob Noster’s only match, beating Dustin Bergman 8-6.

In the other singles matches, Roehrs beat Krause 8-1, Shepard beat Cass 8-0, Tsao beat Brito 8-3, Bell beat Tim Madison 8-0, and Melton beat Angeles 8-0.
