Kayla Thomas, a 2008 Pilot Grove graduate, has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Rockhurst University in Kansas City.

She received the Rockhurst Deans Scholarship as well as the Sam Walton Community and Student Council scholarships.

Thomas shared valedictorian honors with two other classmates for the 2007-08 school year. She maintained a 4.0 grade point average through all four years of high school.

She was a first-team all-state, first-team all district and first-team all-conference pick in softball and basketball.
