S-C exits rankings, Warsaw climbs

PREP FOOTBALL

The Smith-Cotton Tigers dropped out of this week’s state football rankings.

The Tigers lost 56-49 to Grain Valley on Friday night. The win propelled the Eagles to a No. 10 ranking in Class 4.

Warsaw moved up a spot to No. 4 in Class 2 after a 48-0 win over Skyline. Tipton remained at No. 5 in Class 1 after beating Sweet Springs 28-6.
