Both Sacred Heart basketball teams remain unbeaten

Sacred Heart had three players score in double figures Saturday night on the road as the Gremlins outscored the Braymer 33-13 in the second and fourth quarters to extend their perfect season to 8-0 witth a 67-49 victor
Wes Register paced the Gremlins with 18, Dylan Young added 14 points and Jacob Harlan chipped in 10.
Sacred Heart trailed 22-21 after the first quarter but mounted a second-quarter run to lead 40-31 at the half. After narrowing the deficit to eight at the end of the third, the Bobcats were outscored 14-4 in the final quarter.
Lincoln 69, Chilhowee 45
The Cardinals had all 13 players score against Chilhowee on Saturday night in the opening round matchup of the Otterville Classic.
Lincoln led 42-14 at the half and played its JV squad in the second half, crusing to the big win.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Sacred Heart 43, Braymer 31
The Gremlins improved to 9-0 on the season with a a great defensive effort against Braymer on Saturday afternoon.
Sacred Heart led 28-23 at the half, but the Gremlins hit their stride in the second half, holding the Lady Cats to just eight points on their way to the double-digit win.
Laura McMullin had a game-high 19 points and 11 rebounds and Kelsey Baldwin chipped in 16 points, four 3-pointers and four assists.
Smith-Cotton 44, KC East 23
The Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers placed fifth in the 12-team Penn Valley girls basketball tournament.
The Lady Tigers (5-6) beat Kansas City East 44-23 in the fifth-place game. Cristian Sharp scored a team-high 18 points.
KC Central beat Smith-Cotton 59-50 Saturday. Sharp led S-C with 19 points, and Alicia Dunkin had 10.
