S-C Football Combine slated April 17

The Smith-Cotton football team, Mid-Missouri Outlaws and local businesses will hold the S-C Football Combine on April 17.

This free event will be at the Mathewson Exhibition Center. Youths in grades five through eight should register at 9:15 a.m. with their session beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Ninth- through 12th-graders should report at 11 a.m.

Each athlete, who will receive a free ticket to that night’s Outlaws game against the Springfield Lightning, will perform a 40-yard dash, a pro agility test, a vertical jump, a standing long jump, a 300-yard shuttle run and sit-ups.

Fifth- through eighth-graders will also do push-ups.

Ninth- through 12th-graders will also do a bench press.
